Active people (runners, swimmers and bikers, for example) also develop inflexibility when they fail to cross-train. This 6-week series will teach you how to gently release tight tissues to feel freer in your body. Each 75-minute class begins with a short talk where you will learn about the anatomy of the pelvis and hips; followed by gentle movements to increase your body awareness; and finally 45-55 minutes of yoga practice. This class will be held in our studio. Due to COVID protocols, participants will be required to socially distance, wear masks, and provide proof of vaccination.

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER NOW If you are a beginner yoga student, or are practicing with physical restrictions, or just prefer a slow, paced yoga practice, this is a great class for you. We start with a meditative centering, then move into gentle warm ups and into yoga poses (asana). Balance postures, flexibility stretches, and gentle core strengthening is included. We close with a final centering. Class will be held outdoors if weather permits. Otherwise, we will be in the studio, socially distanced, wearing masks as required due to COVID. POWER YOGA FLOW Tuesdays 8:30 - 10:00 am $60 for 6 weeks June 1 - July 6, 2021 Thursdays 8:30 - 10:00 am $60 for 6 weeks June 3 - July 8, 2021 Pre-registration required. Limited slots. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER NOW This 90-minute practice focuses on strength and flexibility. We start slow with gentle stretches and slow-paced sun salutations, gradually increasing to a moderately vigorous flow that includes optional push-ups. Balance postures follow. Class winds down with mat work, including core work, gentle yoga stretches, and a closing relaxation. Requires knowledge of asic yoga postures. Class will be held outdoors if weather permits. Otherwise, we will be in the studio, socially distanced, wearing masks as required due to COVID. Proof of COVID vaccination required.
WHAT TO WEAR, WHAT TO BRING For yoga, please bring a face mask, yoga mat, and water bottle. Remove shoes for yoga and leave them by the entryway. Other belongings also may be left in the cubbies in the entryway. Please do not bring personal belongings on to the yoga practice floor. For yoga you need to be able to spread your toes and have a firm grip on the mat--so work barefoot, or wear yoga socks.
