A typical initial visit lasts from 60-75 minutes. Return visits last 45-60 minutes. During this time an interview will be conducted in order to gather information regarding the chief complaint and other medical history. An exam will also be conducted which involves observing the tongue, palpating the pulse, and performing orthopedic testing. After this a treatment will be given that may include any of the modalities listed here. Treatments are most often conducted once per week for the first 4-8 weeks.
